It’s a new year and I know that we all have resolutions. I am a junk food junkie. Ice cream, candy, pastries, processed meat snacks, deep-fried goodness – the list goes on. If it’s unhealthy, I probably enjoy snacking on it.
Last month my muscle stud and I watched a documentary on Netflix called “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead.” An Australian man travels the United States while engaging in a juice fast. For 60 days he eats absolutely no solid food and consumes only freshly juiced fruits and vegetables. He ends up losing a ton of weight as well as reversing a bad skin condition for which he’s been taking medication for years and years.
My muscle stud and I both have been wanted to adopt a healthier lifestyle. We are not remotely interested in hardcore fasting for 60 days, but we have decided to replace our nightly dinners with one of the juice recipes for the next 30 days.
Here is main recipe we will be using and altering with different fruits and veggies to suit our taste:
Green Machine
6 Kale Leaves
1 Cucumber
4 Celery Stalks
2 Green Apples
1/2 Lemon
1 piece of Ginger
Ideally you want to use a juice machine, like this one:

The muscle stud and I don’t have one of these lying around so we’ll just be using our good old-fashioned blender until we get our butts in gear and pick one up. I’ll let you know how it goes.
